Somersby Equestrian Club Closed Restricted Members only T-Shirt Day

Due to forecasted storms and power outage at Il Cadore, the competition scheduled for the 16th February will unfortunately be postponed to the 15th of March.

If you are unable to attend on the 15th of March please email by COB Feb 20 to arrange a refund or transfer your entries to our 19th April Comp which will be open on nominate Monday.

Somersby Equestrian Club days are the go-to event for those competitors and green horses alike, who are keen to experience the energy of a dressage day without over-committing themselves to serious competition.

Entry fee: $30.00 per class non member, $25.00 per class for members, $10.00 ground fee. Day stables are available for $26.00 including a $15.00 refundable deposit once the stable has been cleaned and checked by one of our committee members. 

Helpers on the day - Anyone who helps on the day will recieve a helpers envelope with a voucher or cash and stable for their horse (if available).

Please ensure your horse has a bridle number on at all times of the competition as this is now mandatory, if you do not have one contact Sue Birch from EA; ph 02 9620 2660. Email:

Scratchings BEFORE entries closing date will get a refund, less admin fees.

If your desired class is full please feel free to be on our reserves list, if you do not get in you will recieve a full refund.

There will be no refund for scratchings AFTER the draw has been released, unless a doctor’s or vet’s certificate is provided within 2 days after the event is over.


Early bird discount! - Membership will be offered at a discounted rate of $25 for the month of January!
Joining is a great way of supporting our club and receiving discounted entry to our competitions. The standard membership fee is a flat rate of $30.

Vale Amanda Shoobridge

Somersby Equestrian Club (SEC), the NSW Central Coast region, the dressage world, and Australian and International Wamblood and dressage pony breeders are mourning the sudden, tragic death late last month of Revelwood Sttud's, Amanda Shoobridge.
Amanda, aged 38, had travelled to London for an international equine vetinary breeding symposium, when she was taken ill and passed away on 22 July.

EA Update:   EA’s general rules and regs, By-Laws and rules for each discipline changed to reflect the new membership structure which was announced on 23 May 2013.
